Unique Selling Proposition

As the holder of an Oxford Law degree, I have a good command of my native language.

I worked in Germany without interruption from 1978 to 2005.

Between 1990 and 2005 I was actively involved in accounting, tax consulting and auditing.

After moving from Australia to Oldenburg in 1978 I programmed accounting software with multi-client capability. The basis for this was my experience with programming financial software, first as an employee of a private bank in Melbourne, then as an employee of IBM Australia.

In 1990 I opened a bookkeeping office near Schwerin, where we used my own software until 2000. From 1992 onwards I worked closely with tax consultants, specialist lawyers for tax law and auditors, and in 2000 qualified as a certified accountant. From about 1998 Deloitte Hamburg trained me as an audit team leader (freelance).

In 2005 I sold my client base to a tax consultant in Schwerin and moved to southwest France to concentrate on translating.
